MY BURNING CANDLE

 

At a time when I felt most alone,
there you were like a burning candle
amidst the darkness, shining bright.
Lighting my path. Showing me the way.
Helping me thru the difficult road,
guiding me out of the darkness, into the light.

If this was a dream,
I don't want to awaken, no more.
Let me sleep thru the night,
with you in my heart.
Forever I'd dream
Forever we'd be together.
